Elections should serve people, not just political parties.
Colorado Should Open its Taxpayer-Funded Primary Elections
Yet, although Colorado's primary elections are funded by taxpayers, over 37% of Colorado voters can't participate simply because they don't want to join a private political party.
If this presidential election has taught us anything, it shows us how important primary elections are to the public election process and political discourse.
And unless candidates have to compete for everyone's vote equally, our politics will become increasingly divisive and unrepresentative of the general public.
Tell the Colorado legislature that elections that are paid for by all Coloradans should include all Coloradans. Sign the petition now!
